Description of biological activity

The compound possesses inhibitory activity against the spindle checkpoint kinase: Tyrosine Threonine Kinase (TTK)/Monopolar spindle 1 (Mps1). TTK is the human homologue of the S.cerevisiae kinase Mps1 crucial for centrosome duplication and hence cell division [1]. In an assay [2] using human TTK the compound showed IC50 22.9 nM
